David Roberts (1796-1864) was a Scottish painter renowned for his prolific works throughout The Holy Land, Arabia, and Egypt. Influenced by the famed artist J.M. Turner, Roberts was encouraged to dedicate himself fully to art after Turner saw his astonishing work.
